Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Tuesday morning around 1:20am Deputy Austin Moore was traveling E/B on St. Hwy 71 near Plum when he observed a white Toyota Camry traveling W/B at a high rate of speed near the same location and was checked with radar indicating excessive speed. Deputy Moore conducted a traffic stop on the passenger vehicle. Upon interviewing the driver Moore detected strong odors of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. Assisting at the traffic stop was Deputy Chase Cedar. Moore located a zip lock bag full of Marijuana, a Smith & Wesson 40 caliber handgun, several more small bags of THC marijuana, a mushroom bar, and a THC edible candy bar. Arrested was 23 year old Moses Paul Alakayi Jr, of San Antonio who was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
