Medical Emergency in Fayette County
Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Tuesday April 25th Fayette County Dispatch received a call about a medical emergency. The individual in question is the sole caretaker of an adult autistic family member with no known family or friends anywhere nearby.Due to the medical emergency the individual was unable to provide information on any contacts or relatives and the family member was nonverbal and unable to provide any information.
CIT Investigator Castleberry, along with LGPD and Bluebonnet Trails were able to make contact with the family member at the residence and provide care/supervision for them while Bluebonnet Trails made arrangements for his care.
Inv. Castleberry was attempting to locate a relative to advise them of the medical situation and circumstances with the other family member. With help from Fayette County EMS he was able to make contact with a relative out of state to advise them and they began making preparations.
Further arrangements were made to ensure the autistic family member would have supervision and care until the relative could arrive.
