Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Sunday February 26th, at approximately 2am, Sgt. Ryan Meagher conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 GMC Sierra near LaGrange. Deputy Seth Nagel assisted with the stop. During the course of the traffic stop, Meagher believed the driver to be under the influence of a narcotic. Meagher asked and received consent to search the vehicle. While Searching the vehicle, a female passenger attempted to discard a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine in the grass nearby. After further investigation, Meagher located Methamphetamine in possession of both occupants. The driver identified as Jason Stark, 48 of Red Rock, and the passenger identified as Lisa Wright, 41 of Bastrop, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
