Sheriff Keith Korenek reports over the weekend, Deputy Herman Olvera was patrolling Interstate 10 and conducted a traffic stop resulting in the arrests of two subjects on felony charges. Deputy Olvera observed the 2006 Ford pickup traveling eastbound and after observing the violation, the vehicle was pulled over near Schulenburg. The two male occupants were fidgety and made furtive movements as Olvera approached. Olvera became suspicious of the subjects and to promote officer safety a frisk of the vehicle was conducted. A check of area in the immediate reach of the subjects revealed a 38 caliber handgun being discovered. A check on the revolver revealed it was reported stolen, and a further check on both subjects revealed each was a convicted felon and were prohibited from being in possession of a firearm. Both Subjects were then taken into custody. Deputy Olvera the noticed in plain view two leather type vests identifying each as a member of an "Outlaw" Motorcycle Gang, one of which being the "Vice President" of the organization. Arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felony and theft of a Firearm were 65 year old Jeffrey Allen Timpson of Seguin and 50 year old Luis Trigo Garcia Jr. of Seguin. Timpson and Garcia were transported to the Dan R Beck Justice Center and booked on the felony charges. Schulenburg Police Officer Byron Poe and Deputy Lee Phillips assisted with the arrest.
