Traffic Stop near LaGrange

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports, Deputy A.J Gonzales conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car near LaGrange for a moving violation. Gonzales detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search which yielded marijuana and cocaine.
The Driver, Jose Esquivel of Beaumont, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
