Felony Arrest in Hallettsville
In Hallettsville, an HPD officer conducted a traffic stop in approximately the 300 Blk 3 Fourth St for a traffic violation. When making contact with the driver, he lied about his identity. HPD was able to determine that the driver had an outstanding felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance out of Lavaca County. When officers conducted an inventory of the vehicle, they located a female attempting to hide on the floor board in the backseat. The female came back wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Pardon and Parole for manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine.A loaded methamphetamine syringe was also located inside the vehicle belonging to the driver. After further investigation, the adult male driver (43) from Yoakum, was arrested for fail to ID Fugitive, outstanding felony warrant, and possession of methamphetamine in a drug free zone.
The Female Passenger (30) from Hallettsville was arrested for her outstanding parole warrant. Both Subjects were booked into the Lavaca County Jail.
