Traffic Stop on Highway 71

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on the evening of Wednesday, May 27th, Deputy Jose Mosqueda initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 71 near Boening Rd. During the course of the stop a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and multiple cases containing hundreds of assorted THC vape pens were located inside the vehicle.
The Driver, Edward Segura age 34, of Buda Texas, was arrested for the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance. Segura was taken into custody and booked into the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
