Columbus and Weimar Fire Departments respond to 18 wheeler fire

Around 11:30 on May 26th, Columbus Volunteer Fire Department was requested by Weimar Fire Department for mutual aid to an 18-wheeler towing a bus that caught fire. Crews worked together to bring the fire under control and assist with overhaul operations. No injuries were reported. Also assisting on scene were the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado County EMS, Texas Department of Public Safety.
