Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Friday afternoon around 04:15pm the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on FM 154 near West St. Hwy 543 Loop. The LaGrange Fire department was notified and responded with Deputies Joe Gonzales, Duane Meagher, EMS Medic Unit 1, EMS 3, and EMS 1 Josh Vandever. Assistance was requested from the Muldoon Fire Department and the Smithville Fire Department. Upon arrival it was reported a trailer home was fully engulfed with exposures nearby. The fire was contained and extinguished and the occupants were reported not at home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire was undetermined at the time of the fire.
