Foot Chase in Lee County

Last Week, the Lee County Sheriff's Office was notified of a pursuit entering Lee County on SH 21 East that originated in Burleson County.
Lee County Deputies, Constable Pct.2, and Giddings Police Officers who were pursuing the suspect for a felony offense. After travelling SH 21, Hwy 77, and East Austin Street, the suspect abandoned his vehicle in the median on Hwy 290 East, then fled on foot. The lone male suspect was quickly apprehended in a pasture and placed under arrest. The suspect was turned over to Caldwell Police for transport to the Burleson County Jail. Giddings Fire assisted at the scene with traffic control.
