The Bastrop County Sheriffs Office responded at approximately 8:48 PM on Saturday Night to a call east of Bastrop, regarding an individual indiscriminately shooting. The individual fired at one of the deputies on scene who was not injured and as a result the Special Response Team from Bastrop County SO was called. When the SRT team arrived, the suspect engaged the responding deputies and as a result, the individual was shot to death.
