On July 24, at approximately 6:45am the Moulton Police Department along with the Lavaca County Sheriff's Department, arrested Antonio Espinoza Balderas of Moulton on a felony warrant for engaging in organized criminal activity. Balderas is believed to be involved in a burglary that occurred in Moulton Texas on June 10, 2023 at 303 South Lancaster where a large amount of cash was taken. Chief Beyer stated the arrest was the result of an exhaustive investigation by the Moulton Police Department, Ellis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Gonzales County Constables office. The arrest of Balderas went without incident.
