Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Thursday Morning around 5:00am the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on St. Hwy 237 in Warrenton behind the Warrenton Grocery Store. The Round Top/Warrenton Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Deputies Seth Nagel, Mark Pritchard, and Ty Roggenkamp. Prior to arrival mutual aid was requested from the Fayetteville and Carmine Fire Departments, and the Fayette County EMS Unit Medic 6 and EMS 3 Supervisor also responded. It was reported upon arrival several buildings were fully engulfed. After arrival of the Fire Departments the fire was contained and several metal buildings were destroyed by the fire and a small structure. There was damage to the Warrenton Fire Station sustained from being an exposure next to the fire. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is undetermined.
