An unsightly structure in Giddings may soon be torn down. According to an article in the Giddings Times and News, the old Ford building off Highway 290 East in Giddings will be demolished. The direction comes from the City of Giddings Board of Adjustments which recently met and addressed the issue. The owners of the building have been instructed to completely remove the structure from the hugh lot. According to the article, many citizens have complained about the appearance of the structure. The old Ford building has been abandoned for over 12 years.
