Traffic Stop near Schulenburg

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Tuesday Evening around 10:45pm, Deputy Ty Roggenkamp while on patrol conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 90 near Schulenburg on a 2022 Buick passenger car for a traffic violation. When contact was made with the driver Roggenkamp observed a gray bag with marijuana on the passenger seat. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a large amount of marijuana was located under the driver's seat. Assisting Roggenkamp at the traffic stop was Schulenburg P.D. Officer Byron Powe. The driver identified as 27 yr. old Keyshann Malik Fields of Waelder was arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center where he was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana.
