According to Schulenburg Police Department, on Sunday March 10th at approximately 8:58pm, Schulenburg Officers observed conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of N. Kessler Ave. after observing a vehicle failing to drive in a single lane multiple times. Contact was made with the officiants and a strong odor of alcohol was coming from the vehicle. Officers also observed multiple open containers of beer in the vehicle. Standard Field Sobriety tests were administered to the driver who displayed multiple signs of intoxication. The driver, Fidel Mendiola Garcia (23), of Moulton, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container.
