According to Hallettsville Police Department, this past Wednesday at approximately 9:30am the Hallettsville Police Department was dispatched to the 400 Blk N, Rogers St in reference to smoke emitting from a vacant single story dwelling. An HPD Officer arrived on scene and located smoke emitting from the roof area at the rear of the residence. The officer then noticed flames emitting from the roof area from where the smoke was observed. The Hallettsville Volunteer Fire Department was summoned to the scene and the fire was extinguished. There were no injuries and the case remains under investigation.
