Warrant Arrest in Schulenburg

On Saturday, February 24, Officers performing a routine patrol near I-10 observed a subject known to have a warrant for his arrest seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
A stop was conducted on the vehicle which pulled into the Whataburger parking lot. Contact was made with the passenger, John Burton (34), of Schulenburg, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Burton was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for booking.
