According to Lavaca County Sheriff's Office, on Sunday, February 4th at approximately 1:30 am a white Ford F-150 entered the RV Park on US 77-A near CR 177. The passenger exited the truck and was attempting to enter another vehicle when the owner exited his residence. The suspect went back to the passenger side of the suspect truck and fired two rounds from a firearm before leaving and fleeing back towards Yoakum. There were several other theft attempts on CR 356 near Shiner. One vehicle, a 2020 Chevrolet Dually with a flatbed, bluish grey in color was stolen. There has been a recent uptick in vehicle thefts in Lavaca and Gonzales Counties. Please take the keys out of your vehicles and lock the doors.
