Suspects taken into custody after Trespassing

At 5am on Friday Morning, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from a property owner who was out of town. The property owner stated his security camera was showing three subjects on his property. Sergeant Holloway responded to the location on County Road 127 near FM 180 and positioned himself to observe the entrance to the property awaiting backup. Deputy J. Hilmo arrived on scene and at 5:42am, the suspects pull up on an ATV taken from the property. Sergeant Halloway and Deputy Hilmo engage the suspects at which time the suspects displayed a weapon, shots were fired, and the suspects fled the scene in a red passenger car.
A short pursuit ensued before the vehicle came to a stop with a flat right front tire. The driver fled the scene and the passenger was apprehended. A perimeter was established and the additional two suspects were apprehended. Several Homes were found to have been burglarized in the area. A firearm which was seized was found to have been stolen from Washington County. The Lee County Sheriff's office is working with the Washington County Sheriff's Office as the investigation is ongoing.
The Suspects, all of whom are from Navasota were identified as,
Gregory Chatman, 28 years of age
Desnick Chatman, 25 years of age
Lucius Byrd, 19 years of age.
