Stranded Boaters rescued on Fayette Lake

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports, Deputy Joe Gonzales responded to Park Prairie on Fayette Lake for a boat taking on water with a family on board. Deputy Gonzales requested assistance from another boater to help the sheriff's office and Texas Parks and Wildlife rescue the family. Another boater approached Deputy Gonzales and asked if he could help. Deputy Gonzales took the Gentleman up on his offer and got on his boat to help in the rescue. While Approaching the stranded boater, Deputy Gonzales was notified of another boater being stranded as well. Both Boats and occupants were safely returned to the boat ramp without need for medical attention. On scene were Deputy Joe Gonzales, Deputy Wesley Arrison, a Ranger for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Fayette County EMS.
