Tragedy Strikes Family of a LaGrange Police Officer

According to the Fayette County Record, Landon Koehne, 16, of Schulenburg died in a one vehicle accident Friday on private land in Lavaca County after a one-vehicle roll-over. He was a junior at Halletsville High School and the son of LaGrange Police Officer Justin Koehne. Sgt. Justin Koehne has been with the LG Police Department for the past 20 years. Prior to coming to LG He worked as a Police Officer in Schulenburg. Landon Koehne was ejected from and then pinned under the 1974 open-top jeep he was riding in. The Crash occurred on private property in the 2500 block of County Road 2011 about 6:46pm. Landon and the Driver, who also was ejected, were on their way home after hunting hogs.
