Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Friday around 7:27pm the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on Hranicky Rd. near Bryant rd. The Schulenburg Fire Department was notified and responded along with Deputy Ty Roggenkamp, and Fayette County EMS Medic 4. Upon arrival it was reported there was smoke coming from the residence. Schulenburg Fire Department arrived and the Fire was quickly contained. The cause of the fire was believed to have started from the Kitchen Stove.
