Sentences handed down in Giddings

A Giddings man has been sentence to prison on charges of molesting a child. 70 year old Jesus Campos of Giddings was sentenced to 13 years in prison on 2 separate charges related to sexually abusing a child. Campos was facing these charges when he was caught attempting to cross the border into Mexico in September of Last Year.
A 20 year old Giddings man was recently sentenced to prison for murder. Jayden Medearis was found guilty of the murder of Carlos Green of Ledbetter. The community of Ledbetter is divided by 3 counties. Parts of Ledbetter is in Fayette County, Part in Washington County and part in Lee County. Carlos Green was a resident of Lee County when he was murdered at his residence 2 years ago. The investigation revealed that Medearis shot Green with a fire arm. The Incident occurred on April 1st, 2024.
