Water Rescue in Columbus

At approximately 5:00 p.m. Saturday Columbus Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a water rescue on Robert Lane.
A vehicle attempting to cross a low water crossing was swept off the roadway and into the creek. Upon arrival, responders found the vehicle fully submerged, with the occupant standing on the roof awaiting rescue.
Members of CVFD's Swift Water Rescue Team successfully rescued the victim without injury.
