Vehicle wrecks during Pursuit

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Wednesday afternoon around 5:51pm, Deputy Joe Gonzales attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2010 Jeep Cherokee on FM 609 near I-10 for a traffic violation. The vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit of the vehicle went into the City of Flatonia down several streets and returning into the County on FM 609 north bound turning on Stryk Rd. Several Units continued behind the suspect vehicle which refused to stop and during the pursuit turned on S. Knesek Rd. and wrecked out into some trees. As Law Enforcement approached the vehicle a swarm of bees were observed around the vehicle and stinging officers. Law Enforcement called for EMS and the Flatonia Fire Department to respond to the scene. The 31yr old Suspect was identified as Bradley Langhamer of LaGrange and once removed from the vehicle was transported to the Columbus Community Hospital where he was transferred to a Life Flight Helicopter and transported to Memorial Herman Hospital in the Medical Center for injuries.
