Fayetteville spraying for Mosquitos
The City of Fayetteville is launching an individual, community-wide mosquito control effort to help reduce mosquito populations and protect public health throughout town. The City will be using BTI mosquito dunks - a safe, targeted and environmentally friendly approach for controlling mosquito larvae in standing water. The City will be placing BTI mosquito dunks in public standing-water areas such as drainage ditches, retention ponds and other locations where mosquitos commonly breed.Residents can help by eliminating standing water in containers, buckets, birdbaths or anything that holds water for more than 3 days. Fayetteville will begin placing BTI dunks immediately and continue treatments throughout the warm weather months.
