House Fire on Meiners Rd.

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Thursday, at approximately 3:33 a.m., the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire in the area of Meiners Road near Schuster Road. The Round Top-Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene. Mutual aid assistance was requested from the La Grange Fire Department, which also responded. Fayette County Deputy Josh Jones, Fayette County EMS Medic Unit 2, and EMS Supervisor 3 responded to assist.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel observed a trailer residence fully engulfed in flames. All occupants had safely exited the structure prior to the arrival of first responders. The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished by responding fire personnel. The cause of the fire is believed to be from electrical.
