PSA from Lavaca County

A Statement from Lavaca County has been issued, The LCSO has received information from credible sources that Mexican cartel operatives are actively seeking to steal trucks to use to smuggle drugs and illegal aliens.
This methodology is similar to the criminal conduct that occurred in ’21, when illegal operatives were in full force within Lavaca and surrounding counties.
The LCSO will continue to monitor intelligence and other information and shift and apply resources as necessary.
The LCSO is currently working to coordinate proactive enforcement efforts across county lines as a force multiplier to protect and serve the citizens of LC.
