The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office has issued warnings about phone scams where callers impersonate Deputies, claiming individuals have warrants due to missed jury duty or summonses. These scammers often demand payment via cash deposits into Bitcoin machines. It's important to note that the Sheriff's Office does not request payments over the phone to resolve warrants.

Verify Caller Identity: If someone claims to be from law enforcement, ask for their name and badge number, then independently verify by contacting the official agency directly.
