Catalytic Converters recovered in Traffic Stop
According to Schulenburg Police Department, at approximately 9:27 am on December 2nd, Officer Powe received a call from another agency requesting assistance from his K9 partner Semper. Officer Powe and Semper responded to IH-10 eastbound in Flatonia. K9 Semper was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics. During the subsequent search of the vehicle more than just narcotics were located.In addition to the marijuana found in the vehicle, cutting equipment and 12 stolen catalytic converters which had been cut from various vehicles were recovered from the trunk. The adult driver was arrested by the requesting agency for Possession of Criminal Instrument, Possession of Marijuana <2oz, and Unlawful Possession of Catalytic Converter.
