Man Arrested in Weimar

On Saturday, July 12th, Officer Dominguez was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Main Street following a report of inappropriate comments directed at a minor. Upon arrival, Officer Dominguez made contact with the victim, who reported that an older male subject had verbally harassed her while she was walking home from work.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had been operating his vehicle in a reckless manner, driving in extremely close proximity to the minor. The situation escalated when the suspect ultimately struck the victim with his vehicle. Officer Dominguez located the suspect at his residence in the 200 block of E Market Street, where he was taken into custody. The suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Reckless Driving, and Criminal Solicitation of a Minor. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Colorado County Jail without further incident.
