Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Schulenburg

On Saturday, July 12, at approximately 2:44 pm Schulenburg Officers received information about a stolen box truck headed towards Schulenburg on IH-10.
At approximately 3:32 pm, Officers observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on IH-10 westbound.
Both occupants were detained and after further investigation, the driver, Steven Alston (43), of Beaumont, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The passenger was released with no charges.
Steven Alston was transported to the Fayette County Jail for booking.
