Giddings ISD Hires a New High School Principal

According to an article from the Giddings Times & News, Giddings Independent School district has announced the hiring of Chad Seitz as the new principal of Giddings High School. Seitz has most recently served as Lead Assistant Principal at Lehman High School in Hays CISD. Seitz holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the university of North Texas. He also holds multiple Texas Educator certifications including Principal EC-12, Special Education, and Social Studies composite. Throughout his career, he has also served as a lead teacher, athletic coach, and campus testing coordinator. Chad Seitz will officially begin his role on July 1st. Seitz replaces Michael Mahoney who served as GHS Principal since March 2023. Mahoney has accepted the job as High School Principal in Hondo which is much closer to his family.
