Fayette Co. 4-Hers compete in District 11 4-H Food Show and Food Challenge

Numerous Fayette County 4-Hers competed in the 2024 District 11 4-H Food Show and Food Challenge Contest recently in Cuero. In the Food Challenge Contest, 6 Fayette County Teams qualified.
In the Senior Division, 3 Girls in Chef Coats placed 1st in the Senior Side Dish category. Team members consisted of Eleanor Carey, Tori Newton, and Elena Supak. They will advance to Texas 4-H Round up in June. In the Senior Division, Shaker Bakers placed 1st in the Senior Appetizer Category. Team members consisted of Scotti Beseda, MacKayla Griffin, Hailey Janish, and Kandon Kaspar. They will advance to Texas 4-H Roundup in June.
In the intermediate division, Simmer Down placed 2nd in the Intermediate Appetizer Category. Team members consisted of Tatum Fritsch, Ally Kibby, and Sawyer Mau. In the Intermediate Division, Country Cooks competed in the Intermediate Healthy Appetizer Category. Team members consisted of Summer Dooley, Lylah Robertson, and Mogan Williams.
In the Junior Division, Slice and Dice placed 3rd in the Junior Healthy Dessert Category. Team members consisted of Lydia Beseda, Raelynn Beseda, Ainsley Murphy and Henley Sodek. In the Junior Division, Kucumber Kids placed 3rd in the Junior Appetizer Category. Team members consisted of Langley Murphy, Cash O'Neal, Helen Streiff, and McKenna Zarosky.
In the Food Show, Tori Newton placed 1st in the Senior Healthy Dessert Category. She will advance to the Texas State Round up in June. Competing in the Intermediate Side Category was Jillian Seale.
Competing in the Junior Side Dish Category was Chloe Oliva and competing in the Junior Appetizer Category was Jack Hill.
