Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on the morning of Wednesday June 5th around 11:10am The Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting an Oil storage tank fire on FM 1291 N. near Michalsky Ln. in the Fayetteville area. The Fayetteville Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene with Deputy Seth Nagle and Fayette County EMS 1. Upon arrival a storage tank was on fire believed to be struck by lightning. Representative of Magnolia Oil arrived on scene and secured the well and the fire was extinguished. The scene was cleared around noon with no reported injuries and no evacuation required.
